Title Technical information supporting the 2023 native flora and fauna environmental trend and condition report cards

Abstract The 2023 release of South Australia’s environmental trend and condition report cards summarises our understanding of the current condition of the South Australian environment, and how it is changing over time.
This document describes the indicators, information sources, analysis methods and results used to develop this report and the associated 2023 native species report cards:
• Coastal and marine native fauna: percentage declining
• Coastal and marine native flora: percentage declining
• Inland waters native fauna: percentage declining
• Inland waters native flora: percentage declining
• Terrestrial native fauna: percentage declining
• Terrestrial native flora: percentage declining.
The reliability of information sources used in these report cards is also described.
The report cards sit within the report card Biodiversity theme and Inland waters, Terrestrial, and Coastal and marine sub-themes. Report cards are published by the Department for Environment and Water and can be accessed at www.environment.sa.gov.au.
