Title Adhesion Inhibition Assay for Helicobacter pylori to Mucin by Lactobacillus.
Journal Methods Mol Biol
Abstract The ability of Lactobacillus to adhere to mucin is a parameter for evaluating the effectiveness of probiotics. In particular, a competitive inhibition assay of pathogenic bacteria using mucin-adherent lactobacilli is useful for identifying Lactobacillus strains capable of preventing mucus from being colonized by pathogens. Here, we describe an adhesion inhibition assay method for Helicobacter pylori to porcine gastric mucin by Limosilactobacillus reuteri.
